Plink is built around control, not surveillance. Here is what that actually means.
Will my phone number be public?
No. Your phone number is never shown to anyone unless you turn that on yourself in your plate settings. Most drivers keep messaging on and the phone number off. You decide.
Can strangers see my name?
Only if you flip the switch that says "show my name on this plate". It is off by default. Until you turn it on, even people who message you do not see your real name.
Is it really free?
Yes. Claiming and using your plate is free for life. Some optional extras (like sending Plink credits or running a verified business profile) carry a small commission, but the core product costs you nothing.
What happens if I want to leave?
You can delete your plate or your whole account at any time from your settings. Everything is removed and the plate becomes available again for whoever owns the car next.
Who can claim a plate?
Anyone can claim an unclaimed plate, but for features like selling the car or running a service we ask you to verify ownership with a one-shot photo. That stops anyone from impersonating you.
Does Plink sell my data?
No. Plink does not sell or rent personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. The business model is small commissions on credits and provider services, not your information.
